Deflooding

Information on deflooding is important to know when the floodplains become emersed. Below the expected date at which the floodplains become emersed in the centre of the delta (gauge of Akka). The expected date is based on the relation between the water level measured in Mopti in Augustus-October and the date at which the water level during the deflooding has declined to 200 and 100 cm at the scale of Akka. The maps shows the parts still inundated at 100 and 200 cm, scale of Akka.
