Floodviewer

The interactive flood viewer is operational between 1 August and 15 October. It shows the spatial extent of the inundations in the delta for the expected peak flooding this season. The map shows flooded areas in three colours: minimum flooding (dark blue), mean flooding (blue) and maximum flooding (light blue). The flood viewer gives the peak flood level, but also the predicted date at which the water level will reach its peak. This is done for three sites in the Inner Niger Delta: Mopti (southern part); Akka (central) and Diré (northern part).
